and the word of the day is…

macaroon /mak-uh-roon/
n. A chewy drop cookie made of egg whites, sugar, and coconut.

In an amazing act of Jewish motherly kindness Aaron’s madre brought me one can of original macaroons and one can of chocolate macaroons for Passover.

When I got back to Athens today and unloaded my Passover goodies, I offered a macaroon to my roommate. She had never heard of them before so I had to entice her by explaining what they were using the definition above. Of course when she tried it she loved it!

So, the lesson learned here is, try new food AND always listen to moi when I tell you that something is yummy. Nosh on!
