new year, new bag

Wanted, a bag with:

-structured sides, no floppy hobos
-organized pockets, for speedy phone or camera usage
-2 medium length straps
-age appropriate look, no old lady handbags please
-a defining characteristic, something to make it stand out from all of my other purses and everyone elses
-square shape
-durable fabric

These requirements all came to me when I fell in love with Jen’s Nine West grey suede tote bag. When I saw her bag I decided that I needed a new bag for 2009. A bag that would help keep me organized, confident and ready to go out into the real world post college. We went to the Nine West outlet in search of a similar bag, but unforch did not have any luck. After we left the mall I went to the one store that always comes through for me in the purse department: Kohls.

Spotted: this bag in black with a lovely polka dot interior, organized pockets, two straps and a ton of room for all of my goodies. Success!

This bag will be going along with me to Jen’s house in Baltimore for a New Year’s Eve party.

Wishing you a peachie new year!

happy december

My family had our Thanksgiving meal at Pirates Cove on the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis. Lovely view, amazing food, tons of old people and cozy fireplaces. After dinner we went to Silver Spring to visit the other half of the family for dessert and a birthday celebration.

Saturday night I saw Twilight with Lissan and Kristin. I did not expect much from the movie, and it was not very good, but that didn’t matter because I went to have a fun time with some of my favorite people. After the movie we went to Panera for dinner and good conversation. :)

I spent most of yesterday in Silver Spring with my little cousins. We saw Bolt at the Majestic then walked around the shopping center, found a few penguins, a giant dreidel, took silly photos and went to Borders. I bought a new journal for my Israel trip and the kids both found books to buy.

+ mommy made earl grey honey tea
+ kitty who follows me around the house
+ teaching my mom how to use Etsy
- still fighting a cold, but now armed with saline nose spray
+ aquaphor is saving my face, lips and elbows and knees.
+ new haircut
- school work

Today I am going to finish an English paper, pack for the Bahamas and Israel then maybe go to Target. Right now I am going to get more tea and a pair of cozy socks.
